Where the Little Emperors team are travelling this summer
Inspiration from Indonesia to Ibiza
Summer travel plans are taking shape across the Little Emperors team, with each of us drawn to somewhere different. Some are heading home, others ticking off long-awaited experiences or chasing the sun somewhere new. From quiet coastlines to city breaks with a culinary focus, we’re sharing where we’re going and why – plus a few things we’re most looking forward to along the way.

Mallorca, Spain
I’m going to Mallorca to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday, joined by our other sister for a proper family trip. We’re staying at the Four Seasons, which combines everything I want for her – a beautiful setting to relax and soak up the sun, along with access to outdoor activities. Hiking is top of the list, and we’re hoping to find a few great routes with incredible views across the coastline.
Where to stay: Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor for golden beaches and outdoor pursuits.

New York City, USA
I'm going to New York early summer, staying at the Park Lane Hotel, right next to Central Park in Midtown Manhattan. Our plan is to eat our way through New York and try and find the best burger in the city. We’re also hoping to catch a Broadway show, explore different neighbourhoods like SoHo and the West Village, and visit the Met or the Whitney. There’s always something new to discover in the city, no matter how many times you go.
Where to stay: Park Lane Hotel New York for a location in the heart of the action.

Lombok, Indonesia
Lombok is calling my name this June. It offers a more relaxed and less touristy vibe compared to Bali during summer months. My itinerary includes exploring breathtaking beaches like Selong Belanak, chasing waterfalls hidden in the lush landscape, and maybe even attempting to surf the waves. Beyond the natural wonders, I'm looking forward to immersing myself in the local culture by visiting traditional villages and savouring authentic Indonesian flavours. A highlight of the trip will definitely be experiencing the cool, new design-focused hotel properties that are emerging in Lombok.
Where to stay: The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa for beachside bliss with traditional touches.

Sri Lanka
I’m travelling around Sri Lanka this summer with my husband and teenage kids. We chose it because it’s the kind of destination that keeps everyone happy – full of variety, adventure and contrast. We’re starting in the Cultural Triangle with a visit to Sigiriya Rock, then heading east for time on the beach in Pasikuda. From there, it’s up into the colonial tea region around Hatton, followed by a safari in Yala National Park. We’ll be ending the trip with a stay at both Amans – saving the best for last.
Where to stay: Amanwella for beachside seclusion and Amangalla for a colonial city escape.

Puglia, Italy
I'll be heading to Puglia to visit family – it’s great for family life, party scenes or quiet escapes, all with amazing weather and exceptional food. With the upcoming opening of the Four Seasons next year, the area is getting even more exciting. My trip includes time on the beach, visiting local masserie for long lunches, and seeing friends. I’ll also take a day trip to Lecce, known as the Florence of the South, where I plan to visit its baroque churches, wander through the old town and stop for coffee in sunlit piazzas.
Where to stay: Masseria Torre Maizza for a cool beach club and the region’s best sunsets.

Ibiza, Spain
This summer I'm going to Ibiza with my husband, and we chose it because the island is more than just nightlife – it has beautiful beaches and plenty of history to discover. We plan to explore the old town, visit Formentera, and see David Guetta live – something I’ve always wanted to do. We’re also planning a boat trip with a paella dinner, stand-up paddleboarding, and sunset watching in Sant Antoni. Evenings will be about enjoying good food and music, with a bit of everything Ibiza has to offer.
Where to stay: OKU Ibiza for the perfect blend of party vibes and laidback wellness.

Comporta, Portugal
I'll be sticking close to home in Portugal this summer, but I'm really keen to explore Comporta. There’s plenty to do – cycling through rice fields, horse riding along the dunes, and spotting flamingos in the nature reserves. I’m also looking forward to afternoons on Praia da Comporta, browsing beachside boutiques, and long seafood lunches in low-key local restaurants.
Where to stay: Sublime Comporta for the best of the region’s countryside and beaches.

Crete, Greece
We're getting married this summer and this trip to Crete is kind of turning into our honeymoon in the end, so the plan is to sunbathe on cute beaches, go for romantic walks and dinners, and do a hard reset on reality as a married couple. We’ll also be trying the local food – especially fresh seafood and Cretan cheese pies – which we’ve heard are amazing.
Where to stay: Minos Beach Art Hotel for waterfront villas and authentic local food.
