Hotel Barriere Les Neiges

Aptly named after snow, this Courchevel hotel is the perfect place to retreat to after days on the slopes, to which there’s direct access, obviously (along with a particularly slick ski room). As befits somewhere with such a fairy-tale, winter-wonderland setting, it has been awarded French Palace status. Refuel with flame-grilled food at BFire, which brings the Argentinian art of cooking with fire to the Alps, or head to Fouquet’s to see the mountain version of one of Paris’s best-loved brasseries.
