Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana

The former private estate of Hendra Hadiprana, one of Indonesia's most respected art collectors, Tanah Gajah sits among working rice paddies on the outskirts of Ubud across six hectares of tropical gardens. Each of the 24 villas features original Balinese artworks from his personal collection, and the resort hosts its own Kecak dance performances in a dedicated amphitheatre. The spa looks out over the rice paddies, the restaurant draws on locally sourced Balinese ingredients and Bali's highest peak, Mount Agung, rises on the horizon.
