Hotel Danieli, Venice

Formed from no fewer than three palazzos, Hotel Danieli has some serious patrician credentials (and all the art and antiques you’d expect). Palazzo Dandolo, commissioned in the 14th century by the namesake noble family – several members of which served as the city’s doge – and an example of Venetian Gothic, is the oldest and the hotel’s main building today.
